DELTA®-FLORAXX TOP

A protection, drainage and water storage sheet with a built-in filter fleece, for green roofs and inverted roofs. Plant substrate goes straight on top.

Water storage
7 l/m²
Compressive strength
200 kN/m²
Dimple height
20 mm
Roll size
10 m × 2 m, fleece width 2.10 m

Key advantages

  • DELTA®-FLORAXX TOP in warm roofs with an extensive/intensive green cover.
  • Acting as a protection, filtration, and seepage layer, it retains 7L of water per m² within its thickness of 20mm.
  • Thanks to its robust octagonal dimples additionally reinforced by ribs, the sheet will safely support even heavy loads.
  • As the filtration layer is fused to the top of the sheet and does not need to be laid our separately, the substrate for planting may be spread directly on the sheet that prevents water from accumulating.
  • The drainage layer is simply rolled out on the underlayer. Here, the filter stable geotextile facing up. With a blade knife the membrane will be cut to the required length.
  • Detach the geotextile from the edge of the overlapping sheet and push it behind the smooth overlap of the sheet installed previously.
  • To extend a sheet, remove the geotextile at the top end, lay two rows of dimples together, and connect the sheets with the DELTAR-FLORAXX connector and the rivets, 5 rivets/2 m.
  • Install the sheets Step by Step.
  • The substrate can then be applied directly.

Features

  • Large water reservoir

Stores approx. 7 l/m² of rainwater for dry periods. Excess water drains away through perforations in the sheet and runs off over the roof waterproofing between the dimples.

  • About 80% stronger

Octagonal dimples with reinforcing ribs give roughly 80% more compressive strength than standard dimples.

  • Built-in filter fleece

A filter-stable geotextile is laminated on, so the plant substrate can go straight on top. No separate filter layer is needed, which saves a working step.

  • Won't silt up

The laminated geotextile is pressure-resistant and filter-stable, so it keeps fines out of the dimples.

  • Fast drainage

Perforations between the dimples let excess water drain away quickly (approx. 8.5 l/m²·s), helping to prevent waterlogging and root rot.

  • Vapour-open

The perforations give an Sd value of approx. 0.4 m, which makes it well suited to inverted roofs.

  • Long-lasting

Safe for drinking water, resistant to chemicals and rot-proof in the ground.

Where to Use

Green roofs

A protection, drainage and water storage layer for extensive and intensive green roofs. Roll it out dimples-down on a protection fleece (min. 300 g/m²) over the root-resistant waterproofing, then spread the plant substrate directly on top and plant as required.

Inverted roofs

Used as a vapour-open cover over the insulation. Lay it on a water-draining separation layer with the dimples facing the insulation, then place the fill (plant substrate, chippings, gravel or crushed stone) directly on it. Green roofs, terraces and gravel finishes are all possible.
