DELTA®-TERRAXX: Drainage Membrane for Green Roofs and Terraces

DELTA®-TERRAXX is a high-performance protection and drainage system: a compression-resistant HDPE dimpled sheet with a laminated, filter-stable geotextile. It protects the waterproofing below and drains water away, on horizontal and vertical surfaces.

Use it under gravel-ballasted flat roofs, extensive and intensive green roofs, walkable terraces and areas driven on by cars, and on basement walls down to 10 m. It also works as a drainage layer for radon and methane. The 0.75 m strips with a self-adhesive edge are ideal for paths, bases and retaining walls.

Supplied in Ireland by Commons House Design, the official Dörken DELTA® partner in Ireland, with a showroom in Athy, Co Kildare.

Advantages

  • Universal protection and drainage

One membrane suits both vertical and horizontal applications and protects against backwater, perched water and seepage water.

  • Higher drainage capacity than mineral layers

The dimple structure drains water more effectively than a 20 to 30 cm mineral drainage layer and protects paving from frost damage.

  • Long-term durability

Tested durability of up to 100 years, made without recycled material per DIN EN 13252, with ageing-resistance testing by independent, accredited institutes.

  • Optimised dimpled sheet

The 10 mm dimple height balances compressive strength, drainage performance and handling, with a drainage capacity of 2.51 l/s·m even at 10 m installation depth.

  • Fast on large areas, simple on details

Roll format of 12.5 x 2.40 m covers about 30 m² in one step and can be trimmed with a cutter knife.

  • Impact sound reduction

Up to 32 dB reduction in tests based on DIN EN ISO 10140, confirmed by RheinMain University of Applied Sciences.

  • Integrated self-adhesive edge

A smooth overlap with an adhesive zone joins strips easily, keeps backfill out and improves stability.

  • Even load distribution

About 80% contact area with the surface protects the waterproofing from point loads from fill material.

  • No silting of the dimples

The laminated geotextile, with a 140 μm opening size, is filter-stable and keeps the dimpled sheet clear.

  • Standards conformity

CE-marked per EN 13252 and meets DIN 4095, DIN 18531 and DIN 18533.

Where to Use

Used on flat roofs with heavy gravel surface protection, under extensive and intensive green roofs, under walkable surfaces with or without a base or levelling course, under car-accessible surfaces, in vertical applications up to 10 m installation depth, and for methane and radon gas drainage. 75 cm wide strips are available for paths, bases, retaining walls and connections.
